Queue full and no emails are sent/received

  • We had today many times the problem, that our emails are not being sent on time and we receive our incoming mails with big delay ( more than 30 min.). The queue is overloaded with hundreds of messages:

When I looked at the greyhound admin I see a message, that an error ocured :

This happened before also from time to time, but today it happened too often ...

  • Hello,

did you install the update? I think about the error you had before with the rule and the error message you've ignored. Would be nice, if you update to the current version which had been released today.

Because I misplaced my crystal ball, it would be nice, if you could look inside the log files. I'm sure, you can see the problem there. :)

    Dear Oliver,

you can be sure, that if there was something suspicious in the log file, concerning our activity, I would mention it ...

  • Hello,

that sounds curious. But what's about the update (current version is 778)? I'm not sure, but it might be a problem in conjunction with the broken rule.

Because the workflow system also works with spam recocnition, version checking, ocr, etc. so if a rule is broken, there might be a problem with this things. So please update to the current version if not already done.

  • Hi,

after installing the update this evening we have exactly the same situation, the only difference is that this time the log file shows something, which could be relevant - 00028;2009-10-21 08:41:24,495;Email parsing/converting error: Failed to parse SQL-Statements.
    See the shots.

  • Hello,

did you notice the update steps regarding PatchDB in GREYHOUND Release: 4.0.0 build 761 (Beta)? It had been also mentioned in current update release information for version 4.0.0 build 778. Please always read our update instructions carefully to avoid those situations.

If you see SQL-Parsing errors, you should turn on SQL-Statement logging. Without it, it's impossible to determinate the exact problem.

  • OK, after 29 min. I was able to restart it :)

Here is a part of the log file :
